Local woman appointed
to state regulatory board

 Minnie Ann Lane, owner/operator of Confidential Investigations Associated in Knoxville, has been re-appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen to serve an additional five-year term on the Tennessee Private Investigation and Polygraph Commission. The nine-member commission is the regulatory board that governs private investigators, investigation companies, and polygraph examiners licensed by the State of Tennessee. Lane has assisted in federal investigations and testified in federal courts on behalf of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She was presented the Director's Award for Exceptional Public Service by the FBI for assisting their Knoxville Field Office for a number of years. Lane is also a certified paralegal with a Knoxville law firm and is a member of the Tennessee Professional Investigators Association, Inc., the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Kiwanis Club of Norwood.
